About Linkwasha Camp, Hwange National Park

Linkwasha Camp is a Wilderness tented camp in the south-eastern corner of Hwange National Park, on the edge of the Ngamo Plains.

It has nine tented suites, including a family unit, with a swimming pool, a sunken hide at the waterhole and a Star Bed for a night out under the sky.

Best for

Travellers who want a fully inclusive, fly-in safari with private traversing in one of the quieter parts of Hwange.

Not ideal for self-drive visitors or anyone looking for a budget stay.

Location

Linkwasha Camp is in the Linkwasha concession, which shares about 34,000 hectares of private traversing with the neighbouring Makalolo area. The operator does not publish camp coordinates, so no map position is shown here.

Rooms and style at Linkwasha Camp

There are nine tented suites at Linkwasha Camp, one of them set up for families. Each tent is en suite, and the interiors draw on Ndebele patterns.

Facilities at Linkwasha Camp

Guests at Linkwasha Camp have a swimming pool, a bar and lounge, a sunken hide beside the waterhole, a Star Bed sleep-out and WiFi. Stays are fully inclusive of meals, activities, park fees, laundry and local drinks, according to the operator.

Trade-offs

  • Fly-in access. The usual route is a light-aircraft flight of about an hour from Victoria Falls.
  • Premium stay. The fully inclusive model suits a planned safari rather than a short stopover.
  • Details to confirm. Children policy and guest numbers are not stated on the camp page.

Getting there and getting around

Wilderness Air flies guests from Victoria Falls Airport to the area in about an hour. Activities centre on twice-daily game drives, time in the hide and community and conservation visits.
