The gorge below the falls is the centre of Zimbabwe’s adventure industry. Water levels dictate what runs: rafting is at its biggest in the low-water months and may not operate at all in full flood. Victoria Falls town sits on the Zimbabwean bank of the Zambezi, a short walk from the rainforest viewpoints and close enough to the gorge that the spray is visible from the main street in full flood.
