Where this fits in your trip
The gorge below the falls is the centre of Zimbabwe’s adventure industry. Water levels dictate what runs: rafting is at its biggest in the low-water months and may not operate at all in full flood. Victoria Falls town sits on the Zimbabwean bank of the Zambezi, a short walk from the rainforest viewpoints and close enough to the gorge that the spray is visible from the main street in full flood. Most visitors base themselves here for two or three nights and fill the days with a mix of water, air and game viewing.
